Singing Crystal Chakra Bowl Meditation

The melodic sounds produced by crystal mediation bowls will magnify and enhance all that you intend, as they take you on a magical journey through sacred sound and vibrations, deepening your higher awareness and opening you to wholeness on all levels. You are invited to journey the realms to deep inner peace, meditation and stress relief.  Your presenter will individually tune the crystal bowls to the most common 7 referenced chakras.  Aligning all your energy centers and more, this music will enlighten, enhance & clear your senses.

Kratom is an Indonesian plant closely related to coffee.  It is the subject of some debate among Americans.  When ingested it can relieve stress/anxiety; in larger doses it can be used as a pain reliever.  Some tout its benefits and other question it’s safety and effectiveness.  Come learn about the foreign plant Kratom, or share your knowledge.

 

The Theoretic History of Western Religion

Participate in an open discussion on the history and evolution of Western religion, defined broadly as those religious beliefs originating from Europe and the Levant.  While the major religions of this tradition are Christianity, Judaism and Islam, this interactive group discussion is open to any and all lesser known forms of worship extant or archaic in the Western world.  Charlie has led discussion groups on a vast array of topics, with a particular interest in religious matters.

 

Understanding Prop Manipulation

This workshop will cover the fundamental aspects of prop manipulation/movement arts; the understanding of body and object in unison whilst emerged in deep concentration. Topics covered will include prop identification, prop capabilities, practice drills, basic timing and direction, and possibly some patterns/sequences to expand upon.

Tampons and pads are a major contributor to the world’s waste problem, and the hormones, chemicals, and bleach contained in commercial menstrual products can cause major issues in the body later in life.  Learn about the benefits of using menstrual cups for your cycle, your health, your future, and the future of our planet.  Angelica will answer any questions about her experiences using moon cups and address concerns women may have about their use.  Affordable moon cups made of medical grade silicone will be available for purchase after the workshop.

Tarot, as well as being a deck of cards, is a complex form of divination. Using 78 cards, the tarot reader decodes the message presented; be it the future, the past, or life choices. There are many ways to interpret Tarot cards, and many interconnections and related pieces of symbology that are up for interpretation. As well as this, there are many spreads (ways to lay the cards), which can deal with all sorts of different situations. Tarot is both an eclectic and deep system of divination.  Join Coner for a general discussion of Tarot including how to do simple readings.

The 7 chakras are the energy centers in our body that help to regulate all its processes, from organ function to the immune system and emotions.  Often our chakras can become blocked, leading to physical and psychological illness.  Conner will lead you through a basic morning meditation designed to cleanse the chakras, including the mudras (hand positions) and mantras (tones for the chakra) for each position.  Start the day clean and balanced, and learn a meditation that you can personalize for daily use.

This open forum is an opportunity for everyone to share their stories and be heard in a judgement-free atmosphere of cooperation and understanding.  We all have a story to tell, and we want to hear yours!  Or if you would rather simply attend and listen to others speak, you are welcome and encouraged to do so.  Salem is a former teaching assistant, camp counsellor, and outdoor education instructor.

Mundane Astrology: Daily observation and its Relevance to Your Life

Mundane astrology is the observation of astrological phenomena on a day-to-day basis.  By precise application of these observations we may be able to enhance our focus, planning, and relationship with our surroundings.  Additional topics of discussion may include a method of how to observe and interpret major societal events.

 

Plant Medicines of Peru: Ayahuasca, San Pedro Cactus, and Rapeh Tobacco

This workshop will be an educational discussion on the use of psychoactive plant medicines used in the mountains and jungle in Peru.  You will learn about the origins of these plant medicines and how they are used traditionally by the indigenous peoples, the benefits that responsible use of  pure forms of DMT, Nicotine, and Mescaline provide for the body, mind, and spirit, and opportunities to experience these medicines in a safe way.  Angelica and her partner Eugene will share stories of their experiences with these medicines, and will be serving Rapeh tobacco afterward to those who are interested.

 

What is the R.A.V.E Act and How it Affects US?

The Illicit Drug Anti-Proliferation Act, commonly referred to as the RAVE Act, gives federal authorities the power to significantly fine an event for knowingly and “intentionally profiting” from drug use.  This vague language has been interpreted to mean that festival organizers cannot provide drug education or safety services.  Some argue that this contributes to deaths from ecstasy and other drug-related complications. Come learn about the Rave act, it’s implementation, and the movement to amend or remove it.  Discover what types of education and services can’t be provided at events, and discuss the potential effects of this legislation.
